Build Real AI
on Real Hardware

Your teen gets hands-on access to a multi-GPU workstation and builds a working AI chatbot from scratch in the first session. No cloud accounts. No API keys. No subscriptions. Grades 9 through 12.

What your teen will build

Sessions adapt to your teen's interests and skill level. Here's a typical progression, though students are welcome to explore in any direction.

Sessions 1–3
AI Chatbot from Scratch
Set up a Python environment, download a real AI model, load it onto GPUs, and have a conversation with it. Your teen leaves session one with a working chatbot.
Sessions 4–6
Custom Knowledge Base
Build a RAG system that teaches the AI custom knowledge from documents. Create an API server and a web frontend. The chatbot becomes theirs.
Sessions 7+
Go Deeper
Image generation, model fine-tuning, training neural networks, multi-model systems. Advanced students get access to up to 6 GPUs and 120GB+ of VRAM for bigger projects.

Hey, if you're reading this yourself

You're not going to watch slides or follow along with a tutorial video. You're going to SSH into a real Linux machine, run nvidia-smi, see two RTX 4090s light up, and load a 7-billion parameter language model onto them. By the end of your first session, you'll have a chatbot running on hardware that costs more than most used cars. If that sounds like fun, you're the right person for this.

Simple setup, real results

Everything happens live over a remote desktop connection. Your teen types real commands on real hardware and sees real results.

Step 01
Book on Outschool
Schedule a session through Outschool. All payment and scheduling is handled there.
Step 02
Connect Remotely
Your teen connects to the GPU workstation through a simple remote desktop app. No installs, no configuration.
Step 03
Build Together
We work through the project step by step. Your teen types the commands, sees the output, and understands what's happening under the hood.

NVIDIA Certified Python GPU Infrastructure Machine Learning Enterprise Experience

Already know some Python? Good.

Advanced students can skip the basics and jump straight into the projects that interest them. Fine-tune a language model on custom data. Train a neural network from scratch. Generate images with Stable Diffusion. Build multi-model orchestration systems.

Common questions

Does my teen need any experience? ▾
No prior experience is needed. We start from zero. If your teen can type and follow instructions, they're ready. The first sessions cover everything from what a GPU is to running their first AI model.
What do they need on their computer? ▾
Just a computer with an internet connection. All the heavy lifting happens on the GPU workstation. Your teen connects remotely through a free app. Mac, Windows, Chromebook, or Linux all work.
Is their work saved between sessions? ▾
Yes. Every student gets a persistent workspace. When they come back for the next session, their code, models, and projects are exactly where they left off.
What grades is this for? ▾
This class is for high school students in grades 9 through 12 (ages 13 to 18). The curriculum adapts to each student's level, from complete beginners to students who already know Python and want to tackle advanced projects.
How long is each session? ▾
Each session is 1 hour. Sessions are booked individually through Outschool, so there's no long-term commitment.
What will they actually learn? ▾
Students learn how AI models work at a practical level: what GPUs do, how models are loaded into memory, how text generation happens, how to build a RAG system, how to create web interfaces, and how to work with Python in a Linux environment. Advanced students can explore fine-tuning, image generation, and neural network training.
